Hello, I attempted to wet sand my sailboat but I screwed up and used a 220 grit paper which I've since learned is too aggressive. My intention is to use TotalBoat rubbing compound to work out the scratches but it's not working and the scratches remain pretty visible I've since read that TotalBoat compound is designed to remove 600/800 grit scratches. If I just sand again a few times using successively finer grit papers, will this correct my problem or just make it worse? Thanks
