We believe that there are now better ways to provide this service for our customers and the community. With that in mind, we have made the difficult decision to discontinue the Jamestown Distributors Forum.   Our JD Tech Team is committed to being your trusted technical resource, and we encourage you to reach out via email, phone, social, product reviews, and to post questions using the Q & A 'Ask A Question' function on all product pages. S/S Acorn (Cap) Nuts : are these acorn nuts1/4 inch with 20 threads per inch and stainless steel?

6 posts in this topic

Yes, they are stainless/steel. And the ones I got were high quality.(No rust so far, in a coastal marine environment; and on a boat). As for the thread size, they are availale in over a dozen differtent threads. I used these to install 1/4 thick Starboard, custom cut by a friend on his CNC machine, as "weather-cloths" /panels on the aft deck of a motor yacht. The acorn nuts are the "finishing touch" on the "U-bolts", used to attach the Starboard. A couple hundred were used, and none of them have rusted in over 2 years.
